Figured these are somewhat desirable, and fairly rare so when I saw it figured I'd point it out on here:
2000 Lincoln LS V6 5 speed for sale on ebay (Philly)
Come to think of it, come spring when I'm looking for a commuter/DD car this would be a really great idea. Was toying with the idea of for once in my life buying something luxurious but still a standard, and this has to be a cheaper option than a BMW.

Good car, despite some electronic and drivetrain issues here and there, and this is a desirable body and shifter combo, but it's only the V6.
Also, the mods (grille, "angel eye" headlamps, "turbo" badge on the front doors, and tail lamps) worry me.

I was hoping no one would notice the turbo badges..... seriously wtf with those.
The grille light changes I like enough though, no issue with those.
They didn't make a manual with the V8 - and for commuting, I think this could be rather nice.

The 5-spd LS is a real unicorn, the last one
I found on ebay was red
. The Ford DEW98 platform (shared with Jaguar S-Type) is a bit soft from the factory, but great for commuting...but if you are commuting why not just get the V8-slushbox?
Still...for the $2-$4k this will sell for, it ain't bad.

I was interested until I saw the aftermarket halo lights. Oh, and the pep boys fake Xenon lights. Then there's the turbo badges. I lost interest completely.
While rare, anyone who thinks the $20 AutoZone xenon lights are a good purchase is someone I'll avoid buying a car from.

I really, Really, REALLY hate driving an automatic. Even in traffic.
Plus, the V6 would be better gas mileage I'm guessing, while at the same time probably having decent enough passing power with a standard.
